Gubbs Motors is a long-established mechanical workshop based in Warkworth. The business provides heavy diesel mechanical repairs and servicing, supporting transport, marine, agricultural and commercial operators across the region.
Our History
Gubbs Motors traces its origins to the early 1900s when Clifford Carlyle Gubb operated a mail service between Port Albert, Kaipara Flats, Wharehine and Warkworth. Over time, the business evolved alongside the region’s transport needs and was incorporated as Gubbs Motors Limited in 1934.
After many decades operating transport services, the company now operates solely as a mechanical workshop. Gubbs Motors continues to work from its Hudson Road premises, providing mechanical repairs and servicing for heavy diesel vehicles, marine and motorhomes.
What We Do Today
The workshop focuses on heavy diesel mechanical repairs and servicing, including trucks, machinery, marine and motorhomes. Gubbs Motors also carries out COF pre-checks and COF repairs, supplies batteries, and stocks selected tractor parts.
